And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent. John 17:3

There is only one true God, and He sent His Son, Jesus, to know you. Personally. Intimately. All of you. The best parts and the most broken parts.  

He knew you’d struggle and fight. He knew you wouldn’t understand your need for Him, but He rescued you because of His love. This one true God, who has all authority, wants eternal life with you.

And what is eternal life? How could we explain it to a friend? Jesus said eternal life is a relationship. It’s knowing and being known by the One who made us. It’s about being made whole in His fullness and feeling truly satisfied in Him. It’s worship and adoration of the most holy One and learning year after year, in every season of life, how deep and wide His love stretches. (Hint: it’s as far as the East is from the West!) 

Eternal life with Him is a gift - the only one that always fits, always works, always brings out our very best. It’s the gift of being seen, loved, and cherished. It’s the gift that acknowledges our greatest need is His presence, and He offers it freely. For all time, without exception.

It’s given by the perfect Giver, and it’s meant to be shared. This gift of God is for us, our friends, our family, our entire world. His love poured out on all the Earth.
