GOD IS KIND - Psalm 145:17

"The Lord is righteous in all his ways and kind in all his works" Psalm 145:17
GOD IS KIND
These three words have been on repeat in my mind all year. Through struggles, growth, and moments of deliverance, God keeps reminding me of His kindness.
We say "God is good… all the time." And it’s true. But if I’m honest, sometimes it feels like a phrase I just repeat without really letting it sink in. It reflects who God is—His righteousness, His love—but the weight of it doesn’t always settle deep in my heart.
But when I hear “God is Kind,” it hits me different. It’s not just a statement—it’s something I feel. In a moment it causes the weight of the world to vanish and my need for answers and solutions to subside. I don’t need all the answers when I remember the one who is in control is kind to me. It reminds me that God’s goodness isn’t just an idea—it’s active, intentional, and deeply personal. He is good not only in theology but in His relentless pursuit of us.
God’s kindness isn’t passive. It’s not just a quality—it’s how He moves. He sees us. He knows us. He pursues us. He meets us right where we are, even in the mess. He meets us in the pain.
"Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask Him!" — Matthew 7:9-11
Our Father in heaven is greatly kind and merciful. He is not out to trick us or withhold what is truly good from us. He deeply desires to give us the good things. His plans may at times be different than ours, and we live in a world that is prone to destruction and loss, but even in the valleys He is with us and He is kind.
Even when we fail, He remains faithful.
Even in the valleys, He is kind.
Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me. Psalm 23:4
Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you. Ephesians 4:32
