"Walk by Faith" - 2 Corinthians 5:7

For we walk by faith, not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:7

Our peace will always be rooted in what we place our faith in. It's easy to place our trust in the tangible, the visible, the here and now. If we place our faith in our money or our circumstances, it will come and go just the same.  If we lose our job, we will lose our peace with it. If uncertain circumstances enter our lives, our hope will leave just as fast.

2 Corinthians 5:7 reminds us that we must walk by faith, not by sight–to be rooted in Christ, not our circumstances. Our faith isn't just a set of beliefs; it's a way of life–it’s how we walk. When we put our faith in God, we anchor ourselves to His promises. When we lean on His strength, His love, and His guidance, He becomes our fortress, rock, light, and refuge.

But let's be honest—walking by faith in the unseen certainly isn’t easy. It can be much easier to place our hope in the things we can control than in the One who is in control. So when these things begin to spiral out of control, our faith is truly tested, and what we have placed it in is revealed. By God’s grace, we can either lean into the One that our hope is already in, or take the chance to reestablish it in Him.

Faith is not determined by the outcome; rather, it’s having the trust to keep going no matter the outcome.

God doesn't always deliver us from our trials; sometimes, He delivers us through them. So, whether we're scaling mountaintops or trudging through valleys, we can trust that God is still moving, still loving, and still working all things together for the good of those who love Him. What may seem like insurmountable darkness to us is a bright light to Him. (Psalm 139:12)

Walking by faith means living each day according to God's promises, even when we can't see them. It means rejoicing and praising Him even through the storms, knowing that He is always in control. So, let's keep walking, keep believing, and keep trusting in the unseen hand that guides us every step of the way.
