WALK CLUB - Psalm 23

WALK CLUB - Psalm 23 - Proclamation Coalition

He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. Psalm 23:2-3

You wake up at 6:00 AM, shoot your walking buddies a text, and check the weather app — cool breeze and a sunrise — perfect. Toast down, sneakers on, and you’re ready to roll. You swing open the door…

…Turns out, the weather app lied. It’s pitch black and dumping rain. Probably should’ve just looked out the window.

But you’re still going on that walk, right?

Honestly, no. Probably best to hunker down with a cup of coffee and your bible this morning. Nothing against your walking pals, but let’s be real. They’re probably hitting snooze.

But in the Lord’s Walk Club it’s different. There is no limit on when He chooses to walk with us. He doesn’t need to wait for the sunshine; He’s ready to walk through the darkness with us.

Psalm 23 doesn’t say, “The Lord is my Shepherd when it’s convenient.” It says, “The Lord is my Shepherd.” Period. Rain or shine. Good days and hard ones. Green pastures and dark valleys.

With Him, you have everything you need, even when no one else walks with you. He does.

Following Him isn’t a fair-weather kind of thing. It’s a daily walk. It’s showing up, putting one foot in front of the other, trusting that every step matters even when it doesn’t feel easy.

We get Him when we walk by still waters, and we get Him when those same waters are rising all around us. Our Good Shepherd never stops leading, so we never stop walking.

“for we walk by faith, not by sight.” 2 Corinthians 5:7

Seven days a week. Rain or shine. Walk with Jesus.
