“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10
The Bible paints a clear picture: we are intentionally created by a deeply artistic and intentional God. Made in His image (Genesis 1:27), fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), carefully shaped by His hands (Isaiah 64:8). And in Christ, we are made new (2 Corinthians 5:17) called now to work wholeheartedly for the Lord (Colossians 3:23), uniquely gifted to serve and love one another (Romans 12:6).
The incredible truth is that you are not God’s side hobby. You are His masterpiece. Created on purpose, for a purpose. Created by Him to create for Him, and ultimately bring glory to His name.
You’ve been made with intention. The things you’re good at, and even the things you’re not, are all part of His design. The way you live, dream, work, and create should reflect the work He’s doing in you.
We were created perfect, without flaw. A masterpiece. Then, like someone dipping a Picasso in tar, sin destroyed and corrupted what was meant to be beautiful. This is where the story of recreation and redemption began. In Christ, we are a new creation. The old has gone. The new has come. We’ve been redeemed and restored.
We’re part of the greatest redemption story. The greatest creation is not behind us. It’s in front of us. It’s not something we only read about, but the very story we are a part of and hope for.
God didn’t create the world merely to sit back and admire it. He created it to grow, to multiply, to create alongside Him. He is still creating—every second of every day, working to make all things new.
He sends us out for one purpose: to be co-creators with Him. To make things beautiful again. To handle the world with care and intention.
We are made new, to help make all of creation new.
